Anita Tharmarajah

Anita has been awesome as our Diversity and Inclusion Chair and has put so much personal time and energy into making valuable workshops for KOA members. She has been a great leader as KOA focuses on elevating equity within our fraternity, and is always willing to collaborate with other members on events. Most recently, Anita is starting a D&I Book Club for KOA members as a regular event. She also led a transformation event for recruitment! Beyond that, Anita is consistently an active KOA member and frequently attends and participates in events. She represents the best of KOA and we are so glad to have her as a member!

Anya Trudeau

Anya has done an amazing job as our Director of Pledge Education! She is always willing to advocate for the pledges and actively works to make sure they are feeling included in pledge events, as well as the chapter as a whole.  Most recently, Anya planned big/little socials so that new and old members can get to know one another and build their family trees! Beyond that, Anya is an active member of KOA and is always supportive of fellow members. We are so lucky to have Anya as a KOA brother and exec member!

Jenn Werth

It is no secret that in the past year, a lot of things have changed! From Zoom classes, to takeout dining, to limited capacity at McKeldin, the University systems and organizations have had to adapt immensely in an incredibly short period of time. KOA was no exception in this regard. Jenn’s job as president of our organization during this time took on an entirely new meaning as we switched over to our virtual world. Jenn led the path to a successful two semesters exemplifying the KOA value of grit and upholding our pillar of enthusiasm through all of these changes. This undeniably trickled down to all of the members as the events would carry the same spirit as they always had prior to the pandemic. Jenn leading us and encouraging us to make this year what it was can truly be seen as a mark of resilience and showcased our dedication as an organization. While I believe this Member of the Month title truly belongs to everyone, I am happy to award it to Jennifer Krystel Werth for being our guiding arrow.
